Job Summary
Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care in a 38-bed emergency department by performing EKGs, starting IVs and IOs, drawing blood, and inserting Foley catheters. Assess neurological, respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and trauma patients while administering medications, monitoring arrhythmias, and transporting individuals to other departments. Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to provide patient advocacy, education, and performance improvement oversight. Maintain a safe environment through effective communication and adherence to BLS, ACLS, and PALS protocols.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification
- ACLS
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia
- 1 year of experience as a Paramedic
