Paramedic - Emergency Department - Nights

The Paramedic at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital provides direct patient care across ALS and prehospital transports, including Life Flight operations, with escalating responsibilities across Level II and Level III duties. Responsibilities include patient assessment and treatment within the Paramedic scope of practice, maintaining accurate medical records, operating and maintaining transport equipment, ensuring safety and infection control, and supporting clinical learning as a preceptor. The role requires collaboration with the interprofessional team, adherence to program protocols and policies, participation in performance improvement activities, and ongoing professional development to maintain critical care competencies. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP required within implementation window), ITLS/PHTLS, and NC paramedic licensure are required, with additional level-specific certifications and experience expected. The position is based in North Carolina with Relocation Assistance available based on eligibility and a sign-on commitment bonus based on experience.
