Job Summary
Paramedic in the Emergency Department provides patient-care under the direction of the RN and in coordination with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital departments. Responsibilities include assisting with patient data collection, IV establishment and maintenance, device operation, and point-of-care testing, while ensuring safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. The role supports the department’s goals through teamwork, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional development. Must have EMT-P certification and CPR, with high school diploma or equivalent; BLS renewal, and preferred paramedic experience of 2 years.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- EMT-P Certification required
- CPR certification required
- BLS is expected at renewal
- 2 Years of Paramedic experience preferred
