Job Summary
Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports, assess patient conditions, and provide first-aid or advanced life support per local protocol. Transport patients safely in an ambulance, transfer them to healthcare facilities, and relay critical information to physicians. Document all medical care promptly, inventory and clean supplies, and maintain crew quarters and vehicles daily. Requires a State of Texas Paramedic license, two years of EMS experience preferred, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Schedule includes 48/96 or 24/48 rotating shifts with no overtime cap. Pay ranges from $77,096 to $93,856 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
- Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
- Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
- State of Texas or other compact state Paramedic license Required.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
