Job Summary
Assess call situations using progressive protocols and drive ambulances for 911 responses while utilizing advanced medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and IV fluids. Provide care to patients and loved ones, manage scene and unit operations as a team leader, and collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires a State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Must be able to successfully pass Physical Agility Test
- Good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times
- Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
