Job Summary
Per Diem Paramedic will oversee pharmacologic stress testing and instruct patients on the effects and management of stress agents, monitor vital signs and 12-lead EKG during stress testing, and apply ACLS algorithms under physician supervision. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining history and consent, conducting patient teaching about nuclear imaging procedures, establishing IV access, monitoring oxygen saturation, and completing required paperwork and inventory management. Travel will include Alabama and Tennessee, supporting mobile and fixed cardiac PET solutions for Cardiac Imaging Inc.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic license (RN/Paramedic)
- ACLS certification
- Experience overseeing pharmacologic stress tests
- Ability to obtain patient consent and provide instruction on procedure and risks
- Proficiency in 12-lead EKG setup and monitoring
- IV access and vascular access skills
- Under physician supervision, apply ACLS algorithms and assist with resuscitation
- Travel willingness to Alabama and Tennessee
- Ability to complete daily paperwork and maintain inventory
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards in nuclear imaging settings
