Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and families to ensure they understand care is being delivered. Act as team leader managing scene and unit operations while driving the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations. Requires CA State Paramedic License, BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS/PHTLS, and ICS 100/200/700/800. Full-time or part-time roles available with a 12-hour shift schedule averaging 42 weeks per year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CA State Paramedic License
- CA State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- ICS 100,200,700 and 800
- CA Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
