Job Summary
Paramedic full-time role in San Mateo/Burlingame area delivering advanced medical care on 911 responses. Responsibilities include assessing calls, using medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction), administering IV fluids, communicating with patients and families, acting as Paramedic team leader for scene/unit management, driving the ambulance, collaborating with allied health/public safety personnel, and participating in community programs to maintain AMR image. Requires State Paramedic License, Ambulance Driver's License, Medical Examiners Card, State Driver’s License, BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required), driving record compliance, ability to pass Physical Agility Test, and some healthcare experience. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
