Job Summary
Paramedic responsible for on-scene assessment and acting as scene/unit leader; apply Paramedic protocols, operate medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) and provide advanced medical care including intravenous fluids; communicate with patients and families, drive the ambulance on 911 responses, collaborate with allied health/public safety personnel, and participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations. Requires state Paramedic license, state driver’s license, Ambulance Driver’s license, Medical Examiners Card, and current certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP/BTLS or PHTLS); driving record compliance and physical agility test. 12-hour shift pay range documented as $37.04 - $55.95/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver’s License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
