Job Summary
Paramedic FULL-TIME opportunity in San Mateo County (Union City, CA and Burlingame, CA locations). Responsibilities include assessing calls to determine best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols; using medical equipment such as defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids to provide advanced care; communicating with patients and loved ones; acting as Paramedic team leader and managing scene and unit operations as needed; driving the ambulance on 911 responses; collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel; participating in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
