Job Summary
Paramedic responsible for assessing each call and determining the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols; provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids; communicate with patients and families to reassure care; act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene/unit as needed; drive the ambulance on 911 responses; collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel; participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
