Job Summary
Paramedic lead on scene and ambulance operations for emergency responses in San Francisco County. Responsibilities include assessing calls and applying progressive Paramedic protocols, using paramedic skills on equipment such as defibrillators and EKG monitors, providing advanced medical care with IV fluids, communicating with patients and families, taking responsibility for scene and unit management as needed, driving the ambulance on 911 responses, collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel, and participating in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, state paramedic license, state driver’s license, ambulance driver’s license, Medical Examiners Card, BLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP/BTLS/PHTLS, clean driving record, ability to pass a physical agility test, and healthcare-related experience.
