Job Summary
Paramedic role located in San Francisco County seeking urgent, compassionate patient care with advanced medical capabilities. Responsibilities include assessing call situations and applying progressive Paramedic protocols, operating medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) to deliver advanced care, communicating with patients and families to provide information and reassurance, acting as Paramedic team leader for scene and unit management, driving the ambulance on 911 responses, collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel, and engaging in community programs to strengthen AMR’s community relations.
Required Qualifications
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver’s License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
- High school diploma or equivalent
