Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced care. Communicate with patients, loved ones, dispatchers, and receiving facilities to coordinate medical direction and ensure compassion. Act as team leader for scene and unit management, driving the ambulance to minimize response times. Lift and move patients as required, develop triage skills for optimal efficiency, and participate in community programs to maintain AMR image. Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel. Complete a physical agility test and pass drug and background screening. Requires overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current state of Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending
- Current National Registry
- Possess a valid State Driver's License
- Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS
- Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
- Ability to pass drug & background screening
- Ability to pass a physical agility test (PAT)
- Overnight Shifts Required
