Job Summary
Conduct advanced patient care using medical equipment, defibrillators, and IV fluids while driving the ambulance and managing map reading to minimize response times. Communicate with dispatchers to process call data and document all patient care activities and billing details accurately. Maintain unit cleanliness and stock levels, continuously monitor certifications, and adhere to strict turnaround and out-of-chute policies. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, working past scheduled shifts as needed. This role requires a current state Paramedic License, valid driver's license, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current state Paramedic License
- Valid State Driver's License
- Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification (where applicable or required by contract)
- Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
- Ability to successfully pass Physical Agility Test
- Good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times
- Ability to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects
- Ability to work past scheduled shift with little or no notice
