Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and act as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance. Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image. Requires a state Paramedic License, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and a clean driving record. Full-time 12-hour shifts with a sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
