Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader to manage the scene and unit. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This full-time role offers a $34.76 hourly rate with a 10K sign-on bonus for a 12-hour shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
