Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader managing the scene and unit. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This full-time role includes a 12-hour shift schedule and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Global Medical Response delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services across the region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
