Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires a state Paramedic License, PHTLS certification, and physical agility test. Full-time 12-hour shifts with a sign-on bonus. AMR delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services through Global Medical Response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, ITLS or PHTLS (PHTLS required by 1.1.25)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
