Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires Hawaii State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification. Full-time, immediate hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Hawaii State Paramedic License
- Hawaii State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
