Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids to provide patient care. Communicate with patients and families to ensure they understand care is being given. Act as team leader to manage the scene and unit while driving the ambulance for 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Requires Oregon State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and ICS certifications. Offers paid shift differentials, enhanced holiday pay, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Oregon State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS
- ICS 100
- ICS 200
- ICS 700
- ICS 800
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
