Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones, act as team leader for scene and unit management, and drive the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires a State Paramedic License, State Driver's License, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. Hourly wage is $37.04.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
