Job Summary
Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and act as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Requires Oregon State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and ICS 100-800 certifications. AMR delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services through Global Medical Response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Oregon State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS
- ICS 100
- ICS 200
- ICS 700
- ICS 800
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
