Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize advanced medical skills on equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being given. Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires a State Paramedic License, State and Ambulance Driver's Licenses, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. Hourly wage is $37.04.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
