Paramedic

Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance of care. Work collaboratively with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires Kansas Paramedic certification, BLS and ACLS, and a compliant driving record.
