Job Summary
Paramedic responsible for assessing, stabilizing and transporting critically sick and injured patients under the direction of a Senior Paramedic or independently. Must make quick, safe clinical decisions during high-stress scenarios, basing care on sound clinical judgment and standing orders, with interactions from physicians. Role includes patient assessment, planning and delivering appropriate care, and handling frequent lifting/moving of patients. Requires good physical condition, ability to work varying shifts (Evenings/Nights), and potential on-call/weekend/holiday duties. Must operate a vehicle for the organization and comply with all regulatory and safety requirements. Training and certifications include EMT-P or Paramedic credential, BLS and ACLS; PHTLS/ITLS and PALS/PEPP are preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years EMT-B/EMT-I/EMT-P experience
- Certification as EMT-P or Paramedic in South Carolina or National Registry
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- ACLS certification
- Possession of a valid, current South Carolina driver's license and insurability under the employer's vehicle insurance plan
