Job Summary
Prepare pleadings, subpoenas, motions, and discovery requests while managing legal document preparation and contract management for renewable energy financing projects. Conduct factual and public records research, summarize depositions, and compile trial notebooks to support the in-house lawyer. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and law enforcement while organizing eDiscovery and tracking strict court docket deadlines. Manage heavy paperwork and maintain physical and digital files to ensure regulatory compliance across the full life cycle of financings for utility scale energy assets. This U.S.-based remote position requires 8+ years of experience supporting debt and tax equity financing and resides in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience supporting debt and tax equity financing
- Managed closing processes end to end for project and corporate financing for a $2B+ portfolio of utility scale energy projects
- Deep expertise coordinating financing approvals and signature workflows across Legal, Capital Markets, Power Markets, and Procurement, including negotiating Master Services Agreements and vendor documentation
- Extensive experience supporting the full life cycle of financings for on-site distributed generation assets including solar, BESS, and EV charging infrastructure
- Paralegal certificate, Associate's/bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent substantive legal experience
- Candidates must physically reside in the United States
- be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application and throughout employment
