Job Summary
Paralegal for Workers' Compensation supporting attorneys in a Birmingham-based, in-person role. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of workers' compensation matters; maintaining regular client communication about case status and next steps; requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical records and supporting documentation; drafting correspondence and settlement-related paperwork; coordinating with medical providers, insurance adjusters, employers, and opposing counsel; preparing files and materials for hearings and mediations; maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring timely follow-up. Qualifications require a minimum of 2 years of paralegal, legal assistant, or relevant claims experience, with preferred prior workers' compensation background; strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
