Paralegal - Workers' Compensation

Job Summary
The Workers' Compensation Paralegal provides litigation and discovery support to the Workers' Compensation practice group attorneys. Responsibilities include drafting, serving, and responding to discovery and subpoenas; tracking deadlines and deficiencies; organizing records; creating medical chronologies; coordinating with treating providers and experts; conducting legal research; drafting pleadings, subpoenas duces tecum, deposition summaries, and trial/pretrial materials; managing calendars and scheduling depositions, hearings, and IMEs; E-filing in state and federal courts; coordinating with courts, clients, vendors, providers, experts, and opposing counsel; and ensuring HIPAA compliance and proper record handling.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years paralegal experience supporting a Workers' Compensation defense practice group
- paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor's degree preferred
- trial-prep exposure (exhibit lists, witness prep, trial notebooks)
- existing network of experts/providers or plan to develop one
- experience with defense Workers' Compensation discovery and subpoena practice
- proficiency in reviewing medical records and preparing chronologies
Desired Qualifications

- paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- bachelor's degree preferred
- experience with LexisNexis/Westlaw
- trial-prep exposure
- ability to manage subpoenas, discovery, and court filings
- strong organization and ability to work independently within defense litigation
