Job Summary
Paralegal- Workers’ Compensation Defense supporting attorneys in workers’ compensation claims from inception to resolution; draft pleadings, review and file pleadings and motions, manage a high-volume docket, communicate with adjusters, clients, medical providers and opposing counsel, coordinate discovery, prepare for hearings/mediate/depositions, and maintain accurate billing entries. Qualifications include 8+ years of workers’ compensation paralegal experience (defense preferred) and a paralegal certificate preferred. Located in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of workers’ compensation paralegal experience (defense preferred)
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- Familiarity with insurance carriers and billing guidelines
- Strong understanding of state workers’ compensation rules, procedures, and e-filing systems
