Paralegal - Trusts and Estates

Job Summary
Manage all phases of estate and trust administration from inception through closing, including identifying, gathering, valuing, and transferring assets. Prepare probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and Surrogate's Court filings while monitoring deadlines and maintaining case calendars. Conduct research to locate heirs and beneficiaries, review estate documents with attorneys, and prepare federal and state tax returns. Coordinate with financial institutions, accountants, and professionals across New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. This full-time role requires a compassionate professional with three to five years of experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ProLaw.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of Trusts and Estates paralegal experience in a medium or large law firm
- Demonstrated experience handling all aspects of estate and trust administration
- Outstanding organizational skills

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Paralegal certificate
- Notary Public commission
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with ProLaw and ProSystem Fx Tax
- Familiarity with estate administration procedures in Pennsylvania and/or Florida
