Job Summary
Experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys and clients in a New York law office. Administer trust accounts (bookkeeping, distributions, record-keeping, annual statements); prepare Estate and Gift Tax returns and oversee probate and surrogate’s court filings; draft trust agreements; monitor investments and analyze monthly trust statements; ensure fiduciary compliance; maintain communication with trustees, grantors, beneficiaries, accountants, and financial advisors; collaborate with attorneys, staff, and clients for administrative support and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in trust and estate administration, accounting, or tax.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software (e.g., UltraTax, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
