Job Summary
Prepare and revise estate planning documents, including Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives, while gathering and verifying client information for accuracy. Coordinate document execution, notarization, and witness requirements, and assist attorneys in drafting and incorporating revisions. Maintain organized electronic client files, track deadlines and matter status, and communicate professionally with clients regarding outstanding items. Handle confidential information with discretion and resolve issues before they delay a matter. Requires 3+ years of paralegal experience, proficiency with legal case management systems, and knowledge of Florida estate planning practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience
- Hands-on experience preparing and working with estate planning documents
- Strong understanding of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related estate planning concepts
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Ability to identify missing information, inconsistencies, and potential issues and bring them to the attorney's attention
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
