Paralegal Team Lead, Compliance

Job Summary
Coordinate compliance workflow, prioritize monthly deadlines, and distribute workload to support timely completion of compliance obligations. Monitor and triage compliance-related requests, serving as the primary contact for lawyers and clients on day-to-day compliance matters. Provide ongoing guidance and technical support to team members on procedures, best practices, and legislative requirements. Prepare monthly status reports, maintain control lists, and conduct database audits to ensure data integrity. Process annual reports, electronic minute book filings, and Notices of Commencement for British Columbia and extra-provincial jurisdictions. Post time daily to maintain accurate dockets. Escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters to the Supervisor as appropriate. This new position reports to the Corporate Services Supervisor within the Vancouver office.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience working within the Corporate Records practice area preparing annual compliance packages
- Experience providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and onboarding support to team members
- Knowledge of the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) and Canada Business Corporations Act
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage competing deadlines
- Demonstrate excellence in grammar, proofreading and meticulous attention to detail across all deliverables
- Professional and courteous communication with clients, and internal teams
- Demonstrate reliability, confidentiality, and commitment to service excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise sound judgment under pressure
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to format complex legal documents, manage data
