Job Summary
Conduct legal research, draft responses, letters, and memos summarizing facts of legal matters, and prepare legislative bill summaries for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. Assist attorneys with discovery, public records requests, and contract reviews while maintaining records for incentive program compliance and grant support. Execute liaison duties to communicate with stakeholders and government officials, utilizing legal research tools to summarize depositions and transcripts for hearings or appeals. Coordinate reports needed for discovery and hearings, ensuring timely handling of legal documentation and document review. This role supports the legal team in growing Nebraska through meaningful public service work.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from an American Bar Association approved program at an accredited college
- Successful completion of a program at an American Bar Association approved paralegal institute
- Valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation
- Regular and reliable attendance
