Job Summary
Draft, review, and summarize real estate documents including purchase agreements, deeds, and easements. Coordinate property due diligence by reviewing title, survey, and zoning data, then prepare objection letters to finalize transactions. Lead closings for commercial acquisitions and financings by managing checklists, signature packages, and final documents while communicating with clients, title companies, and opposing counsel. Order and analyze UCC, lien, and litigation searches; prepare entity formation documents and resolutions. Maintain organized electronic records and accurately record daily time entries. Manage key deadlines for active deals and work overtime as needed. This role requires five to ten years of real estate paralegal experience with proficiency in NetDocs, Kofax, and Outlook.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree with a major in paralegal studies
- A Bachelor's degree with an unrelated major, and have: A certificate from an ABA approved paralegal training program specializing in the area for which the candidate is being considered
- Two years' experience in the area of specialization for which the candidate is being considered or other comparable experience
- Unique qualifications, experience, or training which fill a specific need within FBT Gibbons
- Five to ten years of experience as a real estate paralegal, including experience with title review
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Teams, NetDocs, Kofax and other programs used in practice area
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Efficient delivery of high-quality work product
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work overtime
