Job Summary
Paralegal to support attorneys in a NY-based legal team. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, negotiating deals, handling closings, representing clients in court, managing caseloads, meeting deadlines, conducting legal research to provide opinions, attending court hearings and depositions, preparing pleadings and motions, overseeing discovery, and maintaining proactive client communication. The role requires 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in general practice with proficiency in trusts and estates, litigation, contracts, real estate, and business law, as well as excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a cohesive legal team, staying informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting clients’ interests and delivering exceptional client service.
