Job Summary
Immigration Paralegal to assist an immigration attorney with legal clinics, screenings, and USCIS application submissions. Responsible for leading regularly scheduled legal clinics and know-your-rights workshops, conducting client phone screenings and intake interviews, scheduling and tracking consultations and hearings (EOIR, BIA, USCIS), assisting with preparing and filing immigration applications, arranging language access services, coordinating with service providers and clients, recording and reporting services, and performing other related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year college degree or ABA-accredited paralegal certificate
- At least two years of experience in a legal office performing paralegal tasks (if degree or certificate is held)
- If no two-year degree or paralegal certificate, at least four years of experience in a legal office performing paralegal tasks
- Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and case management software
- Ability to manage time, multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and collaboratively
