Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and affidavits; conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations; interview clients and witnesses to gather facts and prepare summaries. Organize and retrieve case files, manage discovery and document review, and assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit lists, and hearings. Track billable time accurately and coordinate high-priority litigation tasks as requested. This substantive role supports attorneys on wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class actions in California state and federal courts. You will work full-time on-site in Glendale, CA, with competitive hourly pay ranging from $30 to $40.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- preferably in employment, wage-and-hour, or class action matters
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, pleadings, and discovery in state and federal courts
- Demonstrated experience drafting litigation documents and managing discovery and case files
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong attention to detail and organization
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and maturity when dealing with confidential information and clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- comfort working in litigation support or case management software
