Job Summary
Manage company chop usage and maintain control records for China entities, including coordination of approvals, execution, and proper retention. Assist with corporate governance and entity management, covering company secretarial support, statutory filings, powers of attorney, and document retention. Support the execution of corporate and commercial documents such as contracts, board resolutions, and HR materials. Conduct preliminary legal research on PRC laws and regulations while liaising with outside counsel and external service providers. Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks to support the China Legal team. Based in Shanghai, this full-time role reports to the Legal Director, China.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, corporate governance, or legal operations professional
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English, spoken and written
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desired Qualifications
- PRC legal qualification or overseas bar admission
- Overseas education or work experience exposure
- Prior experience in an in-house legal team, law firm, or multinational company environment
- Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and able to take ownership of routine matters with supervision
