Job Summary
Support the Investment Funds Team by undertaking work in support of fee earners to meet agreed target chargeable hours. Assist with team-specific financials including budgets, WIP, and aged debt reporting, while drafting and amending legal documents such as legal opinions, offering memoranda, and fund documentation. Serve as the primary line of communication between fee earners and clients, screening calls and managing client-specific business development arrangements. Ensure all new client matters are accurately set up in the client accounting and database system, maintaining and amending client records and keeping files up to date. Identify and retrieve information necessary to support legal decision-making and provide complete assistance regarding various legal issues. Utilize services from the Global Support Team, delegate administration tasks per the team workflow model, and support the trialling of new initiatives and innovative tools. Fluent spoken English and Mandarin are required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous legal experience or relevant legal studies complete (LLB/GDL/LPC/PCLL or equivalent)
- Previous experience of (or an understanding of) time entry principles to fully manage own targeted chargeable hours
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Word/Outlook and a working knowledge of Excel
- Administrative and document management experience
- Superior organisation, administration and communication skills to undertake work at a high-level and of a confidential nature
- Ability to efficiently manage own time and prioritise workflow
- Ability to adapt to the continual roll-out of innovative tools and processes
- Supportive of and able to demonstrate agile and flexible working
- Fluent spoken English
- Mandarin is a must
