Job Summary
Paralegal in the MTA Legal Department supports attorneys across litigation, transactions, and authority governance. Responsibilities include reviewing notices, pleadings, and court orders; monitoring dockets and deadlines; maintaining litigation and transactional files; serving or coordinating service of litigation papers; reviewing discovery demands and preparing responses; redacting and handling confidential records; scheduling depositions and hearings; preparing digests and summaries of transcripts; assisting with litigation papers, including citations and exhibit preparation; conducting fact research and LexisNexis-based legal research; and assisting on transactional matters such as drafting documents, proofreading, reviewing title and survey data, updating templates, and maintaining matter files. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years paralegal experience; telework eligibility supports one day per week (hybrid) with in-office location at 130 Livingston Street, NY.
