Job Summary
Paralegal position in Baker, Donelson’s Memphis office supporting the commercial restructuring and bankruptcy practice. Requires a bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate with 2–3 years of experience in commercial restructuring, bankruptcy matters, and foreclosure; preferred experience in litigation, drafting and filing pleadings in state and federal courts, and knowledge of real estate/title issues. Responsibilities include leveraging state and federal filing systems, researching public records, analyzing and summarizing information, drafting routine correspondence and pleadings for attorney review, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. On-site in Memphis with no relocation details provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial restructuring, bankruptcy matters, and foreclosure processes
- litigation experience preferred; drafting and filing pleadings in state and federal courts
- basic knowledge of real estate and title issues a plus
- ability to search public records, analyze and summarize information, and independently draft routine correspondence and pleadings for review by attorneys
- ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
- US work authorization
