Job Summary
Conduct legal research using statutes, case law, and regulations to gather relevant information. Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs, and assist in preparing materials for court filings. Organize case files, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation for ongoing proceedings. Communicate with clients to obtain information, provide case status updates, and answer routine inquiries. Assist attorneys in preparing for court appearances by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence. Handle other tasks assigned by attorneys or supervisors to ensure efficient legal team operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management systems
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and documentation requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and court personnel
- Ability to review and organize detailed documents with accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
