Paralegal Manager

Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three to four paralegals by providing day-to-day guidance, reviewing work product, and establishing accountability. Operate as a player-coach by independently managing transaction tasks across all phases of the deal cycle while overseeing the broader team. Support deal assignments, balance workloads, and design workflows to ensure efficient progression through each phase. Prepare and revise entity formation documents, review title and survey commitments, and coordinate responses to counterparties. Perform due diligence, work with vendors and title companies, and use project management tools to track tasks and communicate progress. Prepare signature packets, closing indices, and binders, then follow up on post-closing matters. Conduct legal research and gather information using general and legal research tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years of commercial real estate and/or corporate paralegal experience in a corporate environment
- Prior experience managing, supervising, training, or mentoring paralegals or other legal support staff
- Proven experience independently managing commercial real estate transactions
- Must have commercial real estate experience as well as corporate etiquette
- Ability to work and operate independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work product
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional document drafting and proofreading skills
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach and strong follow-through in resolving issues and completing assignments
- A team-oriented mindset and a passion for contributing to the Company's mission-driven initiatives
- This is a hybrid role with three (3) days in our Midtown offices in New York, NY
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with affordable housing transactions, particularly Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) deals
