Job Summary
Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, courts, counsel, and other relevant parties while supporting legal teams with administrative duties such as maintaining calendars, managing hearings and deadlines, and organizing case files. E-file documents in state or federal court as needed and expertly organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for efficient reference and retrieval using Clio. Act as a liaison between trial teams and internal/external third parties, including experts and vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and information exchange. Draft basic pleadings such as EOAs, Notices, Motions, and discovery responses under attorney supervision. Track case progress, deadlines, and client information efficiently. Hourly rate of $30-45 depending on experience; hybrid work environment with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be located in California
- A minimum of 3 years of civil defense litigation experience
- Previous experience with calendaring
- Previous experience with docketing
- Previous experience interfacing with court personnel
- Previous experience interfacing with opposing counsel
- Previous experience interfacing with clients
- Previous experience interfacing with vendors
- Drafting basic pleadings and legal correspondence
- Basic knowledge of computer operation
- Basic knowledge of internet software
- Basic knowledge of spreadsheet software
- Basic knowledge of word processing software
- Ability to type
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Self-motivated
- Self-starter
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and internal team members

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree
- Certified or Registered Paralegals
- Experience with Clio
