Job Summary
Paralegal / Law Clerk responsible for drafting legal correspondence, contracts, and corporate documents, assisting with litigation management, immigration matters, group insurance administration, and billing/support for RM Financial Services; duties include legal and corporate research, maintaining confidential records, and providing admin support to the Legal and Financial Services Department under the General Counsel; requires post-secondary legal education and 3+ years of corporate/legal experience, with strong contract, documentation, research, and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information in an office environment (evenings/weekends during busy periods).
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a legal or related discipline
- 3+ years of related corporate or legal experience
- Strong understanding of legal documentation, contracts, statutes, and corporate procedures
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply legal documentation, laws, and legislation
- Demonstrated experience conducting legal and corporate research
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with legal and corporate administrative processes
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
