Job Summary
Paralegal Intern - Litigation role within a law firm focusing on litigation support under attorneys and Paralegal Team Leaders. Responsibilities include shadowing senior paralegals, drafting simple pleadings for State and Federal court, preparing subpoenas and related documents, drafting summons and civil cover sheets, handling Open Records/FOIA requests, gaining familiarity with litigation software (e.g., Relativity), learning Federal and Kentucky procedural rules, maintaining billable time, and collaborating with the team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel as needed. Requires active pursuit of a paralegal degree and/or at least one year paralegal experience; standard 8:30–5:00 schedule with potential overtime; strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills. Immediate supervisor: Paralegal Team Leaders.
