Job Summary
Deliver high-quality classroom instruction for the Paralegal program using diverse teaching methods to accommodate varied learning styles. Facilitate hands-on training and practical exercises while designing and administering assessments to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades, ensuring compliance with College policies, and communicate student progress to the Campus Director or Program Coordinator. Stay current with industry trends and best practices through workshops and conferences to enhance subject matter expertise. Prioritize a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Paralegal or Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 3 years of related practical experience
- Ideally you will have experience with matters in small claims court, contract law and/or employment law
- Proficiency in a variety of legal software programs is essential, including Clio
- Prior teaching experience
- Your professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role
- A criminal background check will be required for the selected candidate
- Part-Time. Morning classes, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 2 to 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday, 10 days per month)
- Location: Onsite at our Brampton location - 60 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, ON L6V 1C1
