Job Summary

Conduct legal research using databases like Westlaw, prepare and file legal documents including briefs, pleadings, and court exhibits, and manage case documentation and organization. Establish and maintain filing systems for correspondence and documents, respond to open records requests, and coordinate with attorneys and staff for administrative actions and court filings. Assist with trial and hearing preparation by attending court proceedings, scheduling depositions, and analyzing investigative findings. Requires occasional travel, public and private conveyance, and driving ability.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of paralegal or legal assistant experience
  • Certified Paralegal Certification approved by a national association or American Bar Association (ABA) approved program
  • Four (4) years of experience as a paralegal or a legal assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Five (5) years of experience as a paralegal or a legal assistant
  • Ability to drive
  • Occasional travel
